Insurance buildings do not have to be boring functional buildings, as the new building complex of LVM Versicherungen in Münster proves. The new building is made up of six building blocks of different heights and is fitted with translucent glazing all around. Above the entrance area, a 3-storey winter garden with integrated meeting rooms invites people to meet. The building's external solar shading and the photovoltaic cells embedded between the glass panes provide 50 percent shading and generate additional electricity. The self-supporting, curtain-type cold glass façade is made entirely of an aluminum-glass construction with insulating glazing and thus provides thermal insulation in winter. The point-fixed roof edge glazing is a visual highlight.
