SHORT DESCRIPTION

The sustainable refurbishment and modernization of the former Esso headquarters at Kapstadtring 2 resulted in a future-oriented workplace on 47,000 m² for numerous Allianz employees. An ecologically and economically exemplary renovation concept helped the 43-year-old building achieve one of the highest environmental certifications (LEED Gold). The refurbishment included local, renewable and recycled materials, a complete replacement of the building's equipment and connection to the district heating network. The central lighting control system, the ability to divide the individual floors as needed, state-of-the-art IT space development and a dedicated data center also meet today's workplace requirements. This "solitaire of architecture" also represents an upgrade for the district due to the integrated kindergarten as well as a restaurant and boarding house. An exemplary piece of urban development as a joint project of several Hamburg companies.

" Renovation of the complete facade with the help of a special renovation construction
